I have a passion for story and story-telling, and for sharing and teaching this craft.

Story-telling is perhaps the quintessential human activity. It is a way of bonding, of learning lessons safely, of exploring what it’s like to be someone else and thus increasing empathy. It how we humans explain ourselves to ourselves.

We teach what we need to learn, and I very much still consider myself still a learner. As Earnest Hemmingway said,

“We are all apprentices in a craft where no one ever becomes a master.”

But I am an apprentice who has been learning this craft for my whole life in one way, and twenty years in a more focussed way.

And I am an apprentice who would love to share the joys of this magical craft with you.

In 2018 I graduated with a First in a Masters in Creative Writing from the University of Limerick.

I have taught with the Irish Writers Centre, and am available to teach your group too, either online or in person (Covid permitting.) Contact me to arrange it.
